The laid-back community of Oberstdorf has a lot to offer in both winter and summer. Especially in winter, the town comes alive because Oberstdorf is world-famous for fantastic winter sports opportunities. As soon as the first snowflakes start to drift down, Oberstdorf develops into a dream in white: from cross-country skiing to downhill skiing and snowboarding, everything is now possible. In addition, Oberstdorf often hosts many well-known winter sports events, such as ski jumping and cross-country world cups. Here, the winter sports elite meets regularly to test their skills against each other, and the fans love the cosy après-ski. The most important major event in Oberstdorf in 2021 is the Nordic Ski World Championships.
For those who do not want to celebrate or take part in sports on skis, snowboards and the like, but rather prefer to experience this winter wonderworld by walking, there are well-cleared paths in the snow-covered forests and mountains. Hiking and cycling can be enjoyed here on a network of more than 200 km of well-developed cycling and hiking trails. For example, it has always been your dream to climb the Hohen Ifen or the Nebelhorn, then our holiday apartments in Oberstdorf are the perfect central starting point for this.
Especially from spring to autumn, hiking, mountaineering and climbing in the Allgäu Alps is extremely appealing for holidaymakers.
