Your hosts Michaela and Jörg King

We have been running Hotel Sonnenheim in Oberstdorf/Allgäu since 2001 and the Appartementhaus Sonnenheim for 11 years. In December 2016, we added another establishment, the “Ferienhotel Sonnenheim”, located within 100m of the Hotel. The Ferienhotel offers holiday apartments with breakfast as well as double and single rooms. We have sold the Appartementhaus Sonnenheim and are concentrating on the Hotel and the Ferienhotel Sonnenheim. It was important to us that both establishments are near each other and in a very quiet neighbourhood, and that you will be able to enjoy the outdoors nearby, despite the central location.

It is a pleasure to welcome guests in a warm and family atmosphere. We aim to not only provide you with a high standard of catering but also to share tips and suggestions for hikes and excursions if requested. We want you to feel relaxed and at ease here. The many regular guests and the good reviews are rewarding and show us that we are on the right track.

In our time here, we have renovated all buildings. For example, the heating systems were renewed and connected to our solar systems. All apartments and rooms have been gradually refurbished. We are already renovating the Hotel for the second time. Balconies and windows were also replaced. We have also refurbished our new holiday hotel Ferienhotel Sonnenheim; the rooms and apartments are now mostly newly furnished and the heating is also connected to a solar system.
